Welcome to the Sherm Update for August 2024!

We are continuing to develop the https://sherm.com.au website to include Google Reviews to increase the visibility and ranking of the website. My current goal is to increase the subscription base and expand the Distributor Network.  The last 12 years have been investing into ongoing research and development of the Sherm Web Application, maintenance, support and the Mobile App. Alongside of this, I will be continuing to build the Safety for Life YouTube Channel where a number of demonstration videos have been published that can be used in your Sherm Training Masters to link to Please do check them out and incorporate into your training programs by adding the YouTube Link to the Training Master.

Sherm Google Reviews

What will really help at this point of time are Google Reviews and I am seeking your support to provide some feedback on the Sherm Google Business Page.  Please take the time to CLICK HERE and share the company experience since using Sherm, the support provided, ease of use, including the mobile app and how it has helped your business. I encourage you to please invite your workers to do the same. This could be easily facilitated through the User Notification section in Sherm which will push through to the Mobile App / Web App.

Referral Program

Currently, we are working on a Referral Program which will be accessible to users of Sherm.  The expectation is this will be completed by the end of September. The goal is to incentivise users to recommend Sherm to their associates, friends, family and be rewarded with an electronic gift certificate Valued at $200 directly to their email and to their mobile phone. Given the current state of our economy, I want to give back to those who support and recommend Sherm. As we all know, referrals are the best for any business. Now, let’s get into what else we have been up too!

Improvements

Manage Training > Removed Training Status

• Removed training status in Attendance except for ‘Trained’.
• When participant of Scheduled Training clicks Notify Organiser of Attendance, training status is automatically updated.
• Trained button is maintained in the event participant forgets to notify organiser of attendance. This is helpful for when there is a CAT also scheduled for the training and if it is noticed that the participant completed the CAT successfully, then training can be marked off with same date as completed CAT.
• Training Register will automatically update status of participant as ‘Trained’.

Workplace Inspections

• Rescheduled Inspections that are assigned to an ‘inactive’ worker will be terminated and the scheduled inspection deleted from the system. Email notification is then sent to the System Admin and the Assigner of the Inspection.
• Added Frequency in Type of Inspection for 3 weeks

Issues Management

• Include Type “Defect “which is useful for equipment and projects

User News and Notifications

• Add Type – “Instruction”
• Add function to sort by Site and Department to filter specific worker/s to be provided ‘instruction’ notification.

Plant Register

• New history record of when plant items are Issued to Workers and contains a print report ** Thanks Daniel, QDAC!

Register > CAT Register

• Fix “Position” Filter
• If CAT is overdue, it will now display in red font, as shown below.

Plant Risk Assessment

• Add email notification for hazard report if created through plant risk assessment that will be sent to those who are Assigned User Notification for Hazards
• Added email notification for corrective actions if these are assigned through the plant risk assessment.

Touch ID / Face ID authentication for app

• Improved messaging to user if no response when trying to activate biometrics which are not enabled or not supported on device to save confusion.

Workplace Inspections – Form Building Manual

New version released and is accessible from Manage Risk > Workplace Inspection > Type of Inspection Click on the Form Template Builder Action button.

Then click on the User Manual Form Builder

Fixes

Training Calendar Invite – Declined events displaying incorrect time zone has been fixed.

Training Master – link issue to external URL fixed **Thanks Razor Cut

Reports > Training & Competency – Employee Filter fixed and within the Report > Training & Competency > Individual Training Report date correction made.

Scheduling CAT linked to Training – resolved the issue of timing out on the CAT.

Injury Register – Fix Injured “External Person”  record from not saving in Injury Management.

Reports > Manage Risk > Workplace Inspections – sort Assigned By alphabetically. Site Master > Attachments – issue with attachment not downloading is rectified.
