Sherm allows contractors and suppliers to be prequalified and registered in the system with all required documentation, including insurances, licences, SWMS, and certifications. Contractors must complete specific forms such as the Contractor Details Form, Safety Requirements Acknowledgement, and Induction Form prior to engagement. Once approved, all information is maintained in the Contractor/Supplier Register, with automated alerts for document expiry and system flags for non-compliance. The system also tracks contractor performance, incidents, and history, supporting legal compliance and audit readiness.
Contractor workers are registered under their parent company in Sherm, with the option to assign login access via email. Licences and competencies for contractor workers are stored under Manage Contractor Employee, and their training records are logged under Training Undergone. When a contractor is marked as Do Not Use, all associated workers are automatically inactivated, maintaining data integrity and system security.
All contractors and suppliers must undergo site-specific induction relative to their role, duration of engagement, and location of work. Induction records are stored in Sherm under Manage Contractor Employee > Training Undergone.
Non-compliance issues are raised in Sherm under Issues Management, with actions managed via the Corrective Actions Procedure. If a contractor poses a risk to people, property, or operations, their engagement may be reviewed or terminated. Sherm allows their status to be updated to Do Not Use, ensuring they can no longer be selected for future work or procurement.
