Welcome to the Sherm Update for March 2023!

The team have finally completed the update of the Mobile App which is now available in both Google Play and iTunes.

New Function in Mobile APP

My Training and MyCAT can now be completed in Sherm Mobile App.

The screen is scrollable and the new icons are positioned above Licenses and Certificates.

We have included the additional improvements from the web forms relating to incident details and injury details in Add Incident (as per Improvements below).

In the Android App, we have had to include the consent screen and privacy policy as required by Google Play Store

Action: Users will be required to update the App on their phone.

Improvements

Injury Register

In the Injury Register (of Incident Management), we have included the following new

1. Injury or Illness Agency
   • Workplace Environment
   • Workplace Organization
2. Mechanism of Injury/Illness
   • Workplace Stress
   • Sexual Harassment
   • Workplace Bullying & Harassment
   • Occupational Violence 
3. Nature of injury or illness
   • Mental and / or physical well-being
4. Injury/Illness Type; included Illness (replaced disease)
5. Bodily Location of Injury or Illness (replaced disease)
6. Change the “Workers Compensation form required?” to “Workers Comp or Insurance Claim?” and provided options such as Workers Compensation, Insurance Claim and N/A
7. Modified the report of the incident for the type of claim.

In the Manage Injury Register,
1. Added a filter “Claim Type”.
2. Replaced the label “Compensation” with “Claim Type”

Reports module updated to reflect the changes made.

Document Register

When Editing a document, the previous changes made will display in Description which will leave the Changes Made text box free to add changes made.

Workplace Inspections

1. Provided the ability to move fields around within the electronic form development in Manage Risk > Workplace Inspection > Type of Inspection
2. Included option in Field for Master Data which pulls data from the your databases in Sherm. The options include:
   1. Site
   2. Department
   3. Employee
   4. Position
   5. Plant Register

When the Plant Register is selected, there is the option to select Plant Type. This is handy for specific pre-start inspection development for various types of plant as shown below.

Reminder: If you have not progressed into developing Electronic Inspection Forms and would like this service completed for you, please send me an email requesting which forms you would like populated. This service is billed at $55.00 / hr + gst.

Email Notification for Workplace Inspections

1. Added the inspection type in the notification email for completed inspection that is sent to the scheduler and those selected in User Notification Rights – Workplace Inspections.
2. Removed the email notification that goes to the person who completed the inspection. Feedback suggested this is not required and we all get too may emails so it is gone!!

User Management > User Roles

When Registers are selected in the User Role, there is now the function to exclude the Plant Register.

Others

• Add Change Password in Mobile App
• Add department field in Registers > Contractor > Manage Contractor / Supplier Employees

Fixes

• Plant Register Filter: If “Plant Type” is inactive and there are no plant items associated in the Register, the Plant Type will not display.
• When Sites are Private and you have a person who manages more than one site, when this person is listed as Site Administrator from within the Site Master they will have those person accessible to them in Manage Employee. Additionally, from within the Manage Risk Module, when adding a record on their behalf, e.g. Incident Report, this user can select those person from the various private sites that they are Site Administrator (Thank you Angus!!)
• When rescheduling training, fix to ensure that the Training Course Details display
• If Sites are inactive, fix to ensure that insurance reminders are not sent
• Plant Item Detail Report fix, includes logo and format design layout
• Reports > Users – Active and Inactive user export to excel layout improvement
